I listen to thousands of songs every year. The albums that continue to keep my interest are normally on a short list. An amazing amount of excellent albums came out this year. Here's a list of the albums that kept me coming back for repeated listens. They are listed in alphabetical order by album title. I've never been that into rating art on a numbered scale. If you haven't heard some of these records I suggest downloading them or even better, purchasing them on vinyl. I feel the differences between all of these albums shows what a life-changing year I've had. My heart changed. I lost my mind and then found it again, then lost, then found: not sure if I've actually found it again. I'm hoping 2014 will be grounding in many ways. Keep an eye out for my favorite songs of 2013 in the next week or so. P. Filthy Loves You.

What a wild and life changing year I've had. I'm really excited to release this mix. I feel like I've been working towards finding my true sound over this past year after 15 plus years of DJing. The medium has continue to change but the reason for my playing dance records is still the same: to make your mind melt while making you shake your ass. Happy New Year.

The Copenhagen-based trio of WhoMadeWho have unveiled "The Morning" via the bands webpage/iphone app today. The tune serves as the lead single to their forthcoming 'Dreams' LP, which will be released on March 3rd, 2014.
Fresh off their latest release Skycell on Fade To Mind, the dynamic L.A. production duo NGUZUNGUZU have recently collaborated with MOCAtv and video director Jude MC. Skycell's clanging, grime-inflected lead single "Mecha" is visualized by video director Jude MC who says, "By sampling footage from contemporary sci-fi and action films I am able to, through a process of divination, analyze the culture surrounding technological advancement and the mechanization of earth. Through time, we will see if life imitates art along the path of what is prophesied in these films, in the meantime they are certainly entertaining to watch."
Been busy these past few months. No enough time in the week to record as often as I'd like. This mix was a total hit record and go mix. I started with a bunch of recent stuff, then moved to some stuff from earlier this year and wrapped it with some more current jams. Dance yourself warm this November. P. Filthy Loves You.

"Theo Parrish lends his hands to selecting and mixing a set of jazz and funk records originally released on the obscure Black Jazz label from the years 1971-1976. Snow Dog Records will be releasing Theo Parrish's Black Jazz Signature on August 20th, 2013 on 2xLP, cd, and digital. The set itself is a masterful “2 turntables all vinyl” execution, a format that Theo is very much dedicated to – no mp3, no CDr, just the vinyl palette for the true aural experience."
