Sasu Ripatti is hardly a household name. He's a true luminary of electronic music. Whether it be under the guise of Luomo with smooth tech-bounce vocally driven house or the more experimental side of electronic dirges as Vladislav Delay, Ripatti is inventive and relentless with the sheer amount of music he's released.

One of the more impressive aspects to his production work is that if you don't care for one of his producing alias you will most likely downright love another.

Sistol is one of his earliest recording monikers and this week marks the first full-length release in quite some time. Phthalo Records will be releasing his new Sistol LP, 'On The Bright Side' as well as a re-issue of his first Sistol album along with a second album of remixes including John Tejada, Alva Noto, FaltyDL, Sutekh, Mike Huckaby, and [a]pendics.shuffle (to name just a few of the remixers).

Will Sasu finally step into the Techno spotlight? I'm not sure. But, I've been listening to his records for years and I suggest you do the same.
